Leif & Michelle & Lulu & Frances in Iceland

This is from Leif. I m sitting at a shared computer in a hotel in Keflavik, Iceland. (The keyboard is not what I m used to; I haven t found the apostrophe yet). The computer is in a beautiful public room, a couple floors up, lots of windows, a great view of the town and harbor, where the wind is blowing about 40 mph and it s raining.

Earlier today we took a taxi to the famous Blue Lagoon and had a great time lounging around in the hot, milky water for a couple hours, painting our faces with the white mud that is supposed to make your skin look ten years younger. I ll attach some pictures when I get a chance. After our soak we went to the Blue Lagoon s restaurant for their Icelandic Specialties buffet (including dark red whale meat, as advertised). Lulu and Frances each ate a little food (no whale), and then fell asleep at the table. It was about 2pm local time, which meant it was 7am in Portland, and Lulu had been up all night on the plane. Frances had slept a little on the plane. They re both asleep in the hotel room while I write this.

Tomorrow we plan to get up about 530am local for our flight to Bergen. Hopefully that will get our internal clocks more synched up with the local time.
